Emma James is a former Mayflower warp scientist. While on sabbatical, she began researching the “Warp Ghosts” reported on Tortuga and found the phenomenon fascinating. When she heard about the Noachium mining accident and the unusual sole survivor, she decided to relocate to the Wild Ten. She has observed that the apparitions sometimes cause radar echoes, so she uses custom radio equipment to detect them and attempt to interact with them.
